JUNIOR SEASON (2002-03)
» Collected three NCAA, American, U.S. Open and school records as well as four NCAA meet records at the NCAA Championships (3/27-29) en route to four NCAA titles, four NCAA All-America honors and one NCAA All-America Honorable Mention Award.
» Broke his own NCAA, American, U.S. Open and school record in the 200-yard breaststroke at the NCAA Championships, winning the event for the third consecutive year with a mark of 1:52.62.
» Established an NCAA meet record and came within .10 of a second of Jeremy Linn’s (Tennessee) NCAA Record in the 100-yard breaststroke en route to his third consecutive title in the event with a school-record mark of 51.96.
» Swam the breaststroke legs of the 200- and 400-yard medley relays that set NCAA, American, U.S. Open and school records at the NCAA Championships with times of 1:24.46 and 3:04.47, respectively.

» Swept the breaststroke events at the NCAA Championships (3/28-30) for the second consecutive year, posting first-place times of 52.47 in the 100-yard breaststroke and 1:52.88 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
» Set new American, NCAA and school record with time of 1:52.88 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
» Swam the breaststroke leg for UT’s 200-yard medley relay (1:25.80) and 400-yard medley relay (3:06.93), both which finished second at the NCAA Championships.
» Time of 52.47 in the 100-yard breaststroke is the second-fastest time on the all-time Texas charts.
» Finished 12th in the 200-yard individual medley (1:46.57) at the NCAA meet.
» Named the Big 12 Swimmer of the Year.
» Was honored as the Big 12 Tri-Swimmer of the Meet following his performance at the Big 12 Championships (2/20-23).
» Earned two individual titles at the conference meet, winning the 100- (53.93) and 200-yard breaststroke (1:55.68).
» Time of 1:55.68 in 200-yard breaststroke was a new Big 12 record.
» Swam on both of UT’s winning 200- (1:26.33) and 400-yard (3:10.78) medley relay teams at the Big 12 Championships.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2000-01)
» Won four NCAA titles (two individual, two relay) and four NCAA All-America honors at the NCAA Championships (3/22-24) in College Station, Texas.
» Victorious in the 200-yard breaststroke, posting a time of 1:53.11 and breaking the 11-year American and NCAA record (1:53.77) held by Michigan’s Mike Barrowman (1990).
» Claimed the NCAA title in the 100-yard breaststroke in a school-record time of 52.35.
» Swam the second leg of Texas’ victorious 200- (1:24.47) and 400-yard (3:05.37) medley relays, both setting NCAA and American records.
» Placed 20th in the 200-yard individual medley prelims at the NCAA Championships.
» Named Big 12 Newcomer of the Year.
» Won the 100- (53.71) and 200-yard (1:55.92) breaststroke events at the Big 12 Championships (3/1-3).
» Broke the conference record in the 200-yard breaststroke with his time of 1:55.92, topping Russell Chozick’s 2000 record of 1:58.62.
» Swam the breaststroke leg of Texas winning 200-(1:26.15) and 400-yard (3:07.69) medley relays at the Big 12 Championships.
» Help set a conference record in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:07.69, which broke Texas’ old Big 12 mark by three seconds (3:11.11).
» Posted eight top-three finishes, the most by a freshman during the 2000-01 dual meet season (six first-place, one second-place and one third-place showings).

In 2004
Broke the world record in both the 100m and 200m breaststrokes at Olympic Trials to qualify for his first Olympic squad…won both the 100m and 200m breaststrokes for the fourth-straight year at the NCAA Championships.

In 2003
Swam the second-fastest breast split in history to help Team USA to gold and the world record in the 400m medley relay as well as winning a silver in the 100m breast (tying the American record) and a bronze in the 200m breast at the FINA World Championships … was third in the 200m breast at the Mutual of Omaha Duel in the Pool … swept the breaststrokes at the NCAA Championships, breaking the American record in the 200y distance.

In 2002
Won two gold medals and a silver at Pan Pacific Championships; won the 200m breast and the 400m medley relay (world record); earned a silver in the 100m breast … won his second national title, taking the 200m breast; also was second in the 100m breast at the P66 Summer Nationals … repeated as 100y and 200y breaststroke champ at the NCAA Championships, breaking his American/U.S. Open record in the 200.

In 2001
Won first international medal at World Championships by taking first in the 200m breast, posting the fourth-fastest time in history … was second in 200m breast and fourth in 100m breast at P66 Spring Nationals … broke American record winning 200y breast and also won 100y breast at NCAAs; also swam on American record-breaking 200y and 400y medley relays.

In 2000
Was third in 100m and 200m breast at Olympic Trials ... tied for second in 100m breast at Spring Nationals.
